Hand in Hand, Spending a Day as Farmers
Children who grow up in the city rarely get to experience life on a farm. During the recent June school holidays, Tzu Chi's Parent-Child Bonding Class made its first overseas trip to an organic farm in Kluang, Johor. Besides getting close to nature, they learnt how to grow crops and gained a deeper appreciation for the effort behind every meal. But under the blazing sun, would farming be a challenge for children who are used to more comfortable surroundings? Let's find out.
